Cigar Lounge

Culture & Collecting
Definition
A room or business where smoking cigars is permitted, ranging from a retailer's back room with a few chairs to a licensed private club with lockers and a bar.
Why it matters
Lounges are the main social institution of the hobby and, in jurisdictions with indoor smoking bans, often the only legal indoor venue, usually under a specific tobacco retailer exemption.
In context
"The lounge behind the shop had eight chairs and a rule about phone calls."
