Definition
A thin strip of Spanish cedar, often torn from the sheet inside a box, lit and used to light the cigar. A traditional alternative to lighters and matches.
Why it matters
A spill introduces no fuel odor at all and burns with a soft, wide flame, which is why many purists keep a few in the humidor.
