Humidification Beads
Storage & Aging
Definition
Silica or zeolite media engineered to hold a target relative humidity, charged with distilled water and reusable indefinitely. Common setpoints are 62, 65, and 70 percent.
Why it matters
Beads are refillable rather than disposable, making them cheaper over the life of a large humidor, though they need recharging on a schedule.
In context
"The bead tube had gone clear, so he misted it with distilled water."
