Draw Test

ConstructionEnglish
Definition
A check of airflow resistance through a bunch or a finished cigar, made by mouth by the roller or supervisor, or mechanically on a gauge. Cigars outside the accepted range are reworked or rejected.
Why it matters
Draw is the construction fault smokers complain about most, and testing at the bunch stage catches it while the tobacco can still be recovered.
In context
"Everything gets a draw test before it goes to the escaparate."
