Tobacco & LeafSpanish
Definition
A Dominican selection derived from Piloto Cubano, developed to improve yield and disease resistance while keeping Piloto's character. It is grown widely in the Cibao Valley for filler and binder.
Why it matters
When a Dominican blend lists San Vicente, expect Piloto-family flavor with slightly cleaner burn and more uniform leaf.
In context
"Their binder switched from Olor to San Vicente the year the crop came in short."
