Definition
A draw with very little resistance, common in underfilled or loosely bunched cigars. Air moves through freely and smoke volume is high.
Why it matters
Too open a draw feeds the coal more oxygen than the blend was designed for, producing a fast, hot, thin smoke and a shortened cigar.
